Ria's Roadkill Jerky - Spicy

Ria's Spicy is a nice blend of sweet and heat without being overpowering. The flavor of soy is prominent in all Ria's flavors, as is the sweetness of the sugar. That sweetness helps soften the heat from the Chili and Crushed Pepper..

The Long Beach, CA company was started in 2011 and is company is operated by Eden Van, Mr Van uses USDA Choice top round in his recipes. Ria's is available through Facebook and eBay. The jerky is hand-trimmed and machine sliced for consistency. The meat is then marinated for 48 hours. They use Hickory, Apple, and Cherry wood to smoke depending on the flavor. Beef jerky is smoked everyday, so that you will get it fresh and fast as possible.

Ria's Spicy comes in bite-sized pieces so there is no need to "tear off a chunk". The pieces are moist, but not as tender as some other Ria's flavors I tried. If you like Ria's, but want a little more kick, then Spicy is a good place to start. Still, this is one of my favorites.

Riding and Eating Tips
Another benefit of Ria's Roadkill Jerky to those of us who ride on two wheels, the packaging is perfect for riding. The resealable bag will easily fit in my Goldwing glove box, or in a tank bag. You could even keep it in your jacket pocket. The bite-size pieces are also easier to manage when riding.
